“They do everything they can to pass legislation with as little transparency as possible, like hearings and votes late at night. Limited time for public review and stuffing acts of law into labyrinthian budget bills. They are not shy about changing election rules in the middle of an election . . . these are just a few examples of the routine abuses of power in the Legislature.  . . . This is how the powerful stay powerful. . .  And that’s sad for Californians who need help from their government.”

These were just a few of the excerpts of a fantastic article from the Daily Bulletin talking about corruption in Sacramento.  We call it the sewer, and our QIP bill came into existence using that corrupt trailer bill and we have experienced how that CDFA has changed the rules numerous times with us.  So, take heart, we are not the only ones who are experiencing corruption in their government, who is supposed to be here, to protect us.
