A little over a 1/2 billion dollars is what CDFA has cost the California Dairy industry by contravening the law since November 1, 2018.  They took the money from the dairy industry and then turned it over to favored 300 dairymen without the industry getting anything in return.  It is outrageous what has become of our democracy here in California.   We can learn a lesson from our neighbors south of the border. 

The PRI political party ruled Mexico for close to a hundred year’s was finally defeated in the year 2000, but it looks like they have found a home in Sacramento. PRI were known for, rigged elections, bribing government officials for government contracts or favors, and this style of government fostered a country with two classes of citizens.  The very rich and the very poor, and a non-existent middle class.  Does that sound familiar here in California?   How did Mexico rid themselves of the corrupt government officials?

1988 elections were called the most fraudulent elections in Mexico’s history, and in 1989 Mexico formed the IFE – Institute Federal Electoral, and took away the elections from the government and the aim was to ensure free and fair elections and to create public confidence in the process.  It worked and for the first time in almost a century someone other than a candidate from the PRI won the presidency.  If Mexico could do it, we can do it too.   

We have valid petitions and Newsom, Ross and Diaz are the leaders who stand in our way, so let’s bypass them.  

They only have power if we give it to them, and they have abused their authority while some 500 dairies have gone out of business in just 6 years.  Can you believe that only 933 dairies have to come up with that number in just 3 years, is too hard to comprehend and then turn it over to the favored 300 just takes the cake.
